It’s difficult for us to put in words how deeply we admire you and also acknowledge all of the emotions that you may be experiencing as you decide what is best for you and your child. As parents, we can only begin to imagine the weight of the decision you are facing and we hope you know you’re not alone.

We are hopeful about the possibility of becoming parents again and opening our hearts and home to another child. We feel adoption can uniquely grow families and we have so much love to give. We know how strong we are as a family and our experiences have given us the confidence to handle anything together. We don’t take a single day for granted. We look forward to teaching our children this level of resilience and our appreciation for the little things.

About Us

We met through an online dating app and we like to think that although we are married, we haven’t stopped dating. We’ve found that we balance one another to create a great team. 

We have an incredible daughter, Bellamy, who will be two in the Spring. She loves dancing to music, reading books, and discovering how things work. On the weekends, we spend time visiting parks, playing outside, or doing whatever it is our daughter loves at that moment. 

You’ll often find Alyssa with her head in a book, baking, or creating art. Ross loves playing the guitar, playing softball, and listening to music. Nothing could have prepared us for parenthood, but we’ve learned how to navigate sleepless nights, reading the same book for the hundredth time, and understanding just how fun a cardboard box can be. 

Home and Family

We live in North Carolina which is where built our dream home in an amazing family-friendly neighborhood.  At home, there is plenty of space to play inside and our fenced-in-yard allows for plenty of fun outdoor activities.

We have two rescue dogs, Duke, who is a sweet boy who loves treats and naps and Daisy, who is an energetic girl who loves to play and is super cuddly.

Alyssa has a large family that lives along the East coast. A big family means it is never boring- there is always someone to talk to, something to celebrate, or a common interest to bond over. Ross's family lives locally in North Carolina. We see his family every month or so whether it is for a celebration, kids sporting event, or just to spend time together. Both our families are excited to welcome another child into their lives.

Things That Make Us Happy

• Hearing our daughter’s giggles and seeing her discover something new

• Homemade pizza night

• Cheering for our favorite sports team even though they differ

• Spontaneous dance parties paired with our terrible singing

• Holding hands and enjoying time together

Fun Facts

Alyssa:

• has 11 siblings! (5 sisters, 2 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, and 2 brothers)

• regularly wins contests including one where she was in a Cartoon Network commercial back in the 90s

• can wiggle her ears and pick up most anything with her feet

Ross:

• every sports team he has played on has made it to the playoffs but never won

• can play almost any song on the guitar after only hearing a few times

• has never traveled outside the East Coast (although we plan to take trips to change this)
