Andrea and Robert
Hello! We are Robert, Andrea & Cruz
We can only imagine this is a deeply personal and emotional journey, and we want to begin by honoring the love and care you have for your child. We cannot fully understand the weight of the decisions you are facing, but we recognize the strength, love, and courage it takes to consider adoption. Your care for your child is evident, and we admire you for that. If we are chosen, your baby will be surrounded by unconditional love, safety, and stability. We will always honor the incredible strength it takes to consider adoption and will speak of you with appreciation, love and respect. We promise to care for your child with patience, kindness, and deep respect for the story that began with you. Your baby will always be spoken of with gratitude, and their story will be shared with honesty and care so they grow up knowing how deeply they were loved from the beginning. We dream of giving your baby a life filled with laughter, encouragement, opportunity, faith, and love. We will nurture their curiosity, celebrate their individuality, and support them on their journey of self-discovery. Family is at the center of our lives, and your child will be surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cannot wait to welcome them with open arms.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us through this book, we hope it conveys the family and life you envision for your baby.
About Us
We met at the end of December in 2014 at our job orientation for the Public Defender's Office and started casually dating in late spring / early summer of 2015.
We became exclusive in August of 2015 and spent the next three years creating memories through date nights, travel and adventure. We got engaged on September 1, 2018, in Maui on top of the volcano Haleakalā and on September 1, 2019, we were married at a winery one hour north of our home. We are crazy about one another and love spending time together going to sporting events, concerts, dinners together or with friends, playing sports together and traveling.
Our son, Cruz, is 3 years old. He is loving, high energy, talkative, curious, smart, athletic, kind, thoughtful, and funny. He loves monster trucks, sports (basketball, baseball, football, soccer, golf), Hot Wheels, animals, climbing, running, digging, coloring, reading, singing, dancing, and helping. He loves playing in our back yard while letting his imagination run wild. He enjoys spending time with his grandparents, aunts & uncles and cousins. Cruz plays in a soccer league, and is involved in gymnastics. We think he will be a loving sibling who teaches, nurtures, and protects his sibling, providing companionship and unconditional love.
Home and Family
Our home is located in a quiet, safe, diverse and family-friendly neighborhood with great educational options.
There are endless amounts of parks, playgrounds, and trails we like to explore. We can drive to the mountains and the desert within a few hours and are a short drive to the beach.
Our home sits on almost a quarter acre of land, and we have a large backyard that we are constantly playing in with Cruz an our two small dogs, Elvis and Rondo. There is a large natural grass space with a playground. We have a firepit and a quarter-court basketball hoop.
We enjoy celebrating major holidays with friends and family and one of our favorite traditions is our Easter tradition. The day before Easter, we host an Easter Egg Hunt for our friends and their kids in our backyard. We serve pancakes and bacon for breakfast and Robert dresses up as the Easter Bunny for all the kids!
Throughout the year, we fly to the northern part of the state, and neighboring states, visiting Andrea's family and friends. Robert's family and friends are primarily located in our region. We look forward to including your baby in our family traditions and holidays, but were also looking forward to incorporating new ones based on their culture, race, and identity.
Our family strives to be:
A Christ-centered family
A safe and welcoming home
Kind, compassionate and generous
Intentional and Present
Adventurous and Curious
Active and Healthy
Grateful, joyful and fun
Things that make us happy:
All desserts
Game nights with family and friends
Decorating our home for various holidays
Picking and eating oranges from our tree
Going out to dinner Friday nights
Camp fires and making s'mores
Spending time outside playing with Cruz
“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier”
In Closing
Adoption has become a beautiful and meaningful path to grow the family we've always hoped for.
Our desire to adopt comes from love, intention, and a deep commitment to parenting. One of our best friends was adopted from Haiti as a young girl and her lived experience has given us valuable perspective, humility, and understanding as we prepare to become adoptive parents. We are praying for comfort and confidence for you as you make the choice that feels right in your heart. Your love for this baby is beautiful, and we would be honored to walk alongside you during this sacred time.
