We are Benedetto and Bernard, and we live in Southern California with our daughter Aurora and our dog Chloe just a short walk from the beach. We live close to the ocean and have built the life we always imagined for our family. While we share many interests, we also balance each other in ways that make our relationship stronger.

Adoption is already part of our family, and becoming parents has deepened our love for it and our desire to continue growing our family in this way. We are excited to open our hearts and home again and are honored you would consider us as part of your journey.

Our Story

We met in New York and instantly connected over our love of travel and our dream of building a family together. We had a beautiful, intimate wedding in Brooklyn with family and friends from all over the world.

Benedetto is originally from Rome and works as a product designer; Bernard is a first-generation Filipino-American and works as a data scientist. We balance each other well: Benedetto is the planner and social connector, Bernard is the calm and grounded one. Weekends look like beach walks, farmers markets, local playgrounds, and trying new restaurants with Aurora. We became Aurora's parents through adoption at birth, and it has been the greatest joy of our lives.

We are ready and excited to open our hearts and home again.

Our Home and Family

We live in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood in Southern California, walking distance from the beach, surrounded by young families and a strong sense of community.

Our home is warm and calm, full of small everyday moments: cooking together, playing on the floor with Aurora, and winding down with stories at bedtime. Aurora switches between Italian and English at dinner, and we love that our home reflects the mix of cultures we carry: Italian, Filipino, and American traditions all show up in the food we cook and the holidays we celebrate.

Extended family is very present in our lives. Benedetto's family is based in Italy and we make it a priority to spend summers and holidays together; Bernard's family is in Maryland and New York, and gather for every special occasion. We also have a close group of friends nearby who feel like family and are part of our everyday life. Chloe, our dog, rounds out the household and has a way of making everyone feel instantly at home.
