We are very excited to grow our family again through adoption. Our first child, Henry, joined our family through adoption in 2023, and he is one of the most joyful kids you’ll ever meet.

As adoptive parents, we are entrusted to guide and support a child as they discover who they are. We are committed to sharing and building a support system that works for you, us, and the child that will connect us to each other.

About Us

We met through friends at a small party, and we left quite the impression on each other.

We got married in 2015, and we just celebrated our ten-year anniversary. In 2023, we welcomed Henry into our family through adoption.

We share multiple hobbies, including cooking & gardening. Bonnie is also an avid baker, always trying new recipes. She has recruited Henry as mama's helper in the kitchen. Matt also enjoys sharing his hobbies with Henry, taking him along on hiking trips and bike rides, but making sure to stop at a playground on the way home.

Henry is a our rambunctious two-year old. Right now, his favorite things are choo-choos (trains), vacas (cows), and any type of ball. When the weather is good, we love going to the zoo or local farms to get up close to the animals.

Home and Family

We live in a great suburban city in southern Wisconsin.

Our city is super walkable with a great library and lots of local parks with playgrounds. Our house is a historic home built in the 1890’s, with a big fenced-in backyard. When the weather isn't good enough to be outside, we’ve got a big family room downstairs full of toys, books, and activities.

Each of us are originally from Ohio, so we are frequently making long weekend trips to visit our extended family and oldest friends. (We also host plenty of family visiting us throughout the year.) Holidays are a big time for traveling, when we visit Matt's family for Thanksgiving and then Bonnie's family for Christmas.

Halloween is a favorite holiday to spend at home. Bonnie loves making costumes, and we get together with our friends to pass out candy while streaming movies in their front lawn with a little bonfire.

Favorite Traditions

Bonnie:

• Baking dozens of different cookies for Christmas

• Making Halloween Costumes

• Hosting friends to watch the Super Bowl

Matt:

• Week-long summer backpacking trip with friends and family

• Thanksgiving meal (especially the stuffing)

• Watching Muppet Family Christmas during the holidays

Favorite Things

Matt:

• Favorite Muppet is Gonzo

• Favorite Card Game is Spades

• Favorite Sci-Fi is Star Wars (original trilogy)

Bonnie:

• Favorite Book is Ella Enchanted

• Loves hydrangeas and grows them in our garden.

• Loves going thrift shopping and vintage hunting.
