Brittany and Kerney

Hello! We are Brittany and Kerney

We live in Louisiana with our daughter, Nora (5), and our sweet dog, Bailey.

Adoption has always been close to our hearts. We’ve talked about adopting for years, and after walking through infertility and loss, we felt God leading us toward adoption.

While we don’t know the journey that has brought your story together with ours, we want you to know that you’re already in our hearts and prayers every day. We admire your courage and the love you’re showing in making such a big decision, and we hope you feel our support and care every step of the way.

Our Story

What started as a blind date quickly grew into a love rooted in faith, laughter, and teamwork.

We met at church in a blind set-up by Kerney's Aunt Beverly. Kerney had asked his aunt if she knew "any blondes who love Jesus" and Brittany was the first person to come to her mind! We clicked right away and spent that first year sharing movie nights, dinner dates, and picnics by the nearby lake. Even though Brittany's hair has turned more brown than blonde these days, we still share the same bond in our love for Jesus and each other, and we’ve built our marriage on faith, communication, teamwork—and plenty of laughter. Today, life together means family dinners, cheering on Nora as she rides her bike or practices her swimming, planning our next family trips, and dreaming about the future. We can’t wait to welcome another child into our home and make even more memories as a family.

Home sweet home!

We live in Louisiana near a large beautiful lake.

The weather is mostly warm, though we do have a few cooler days in the fall and winter. It’s not unusual to wear shorts on Christmas, but the warm climate means many of our trees stay green year-round! Life in Louisiana comes with the best of Southern hospitality—friendly neighbors, a strong sense of community, and amazing food. We recently remodeled and moved into a new house in a wonderful gated neighborhood that has a neighborhood pool, playground, walking path, and lots of trees! We love sitting on our front porch. Our neighborhood is across the street from the best elementary school in the area and we're so excited for our kids to attend. Our home is only five minutes from both downtown and the lakefront, where we often take walks by the water or visit local favorites—quaint shops, delicious restaurants, weekend farmers markets, and even an old-fashioned candy store. We share our home with our Beagle, Bailey, who is equal parts lazy and lovable. She enjoys short walks, long naps, and greeting everyone with a wagging tail. Around here, she answers to many names, but “Bailey Rose” and “Piggy” (for her adorable snorts) are the favorites.

Family Traditions

Lessons We Will Teach Your Child

  • God made you with a purpose and He loves you!

  • Make it a habit to choose kindness and generosity.

  • It’s okay to make mistakes—they’re how we learn and grow.

  • When you say you’ll do something, follow through.

  • It is a gift to learn and celebrate your roots.

  • You’ll never walk through life alone—we'll be here for you, always.

With Deep Gratitude

If you have gotten this far... thank you.

We appreciate the love and courage it takes to consider adoption and are humbled that you would consider us as the family to raise your child.

If you choose us, please know that your child will never go a day without knowing how loved and cherished they are—by us, and by you. If you are comfortable with an open adoption, we would love for you to be involved in them growing up, whether that looks like photos, phone calls, or visits. Thank you so much for reading our story. We would be honored to get to know you and your story too, if and when you feel ready to share it. It would be such a privilege to walk this journey with you and your child.
