Brynli and Jacob
Hello! We're Jacob and Brynli.
We are so thankful you are taking the time to get to know us. We don't know your story yet, but we already know this: God has been writing it long before we arrived, and He's writing ours too. That gives us peace, even amid so many unknowns. What we feel most as we picture this new chapter is joy, mixed with humility at the magnitude of your decision. We can't imagine the courage it takes to make a choice like this out of love, and we want you to know that we see it, we honor it, and we will never take it for granted. For this child, our hopes are simple but deep: that they always know they are loved without condition, from their very first day and every day after. If you choose us, we promise to raise your child surrounded by faith, laughter, and an open, honest understanding of where they came from and how loved they were by you from the very beginning. Whatever you decide, please know you are already held in our prayers.
Our Story
We both grew up riding dirt bikes and quads with our families while camping in the desert, and on Thanksgiving Day in 2018 we happened to be camping in the same group through mutual family friends. Brynli can't resist meeting a dog, so Jacob's parents' Great Danes made the perfect ice breaker. Our first date was a hike, we planned to keep to a few miles, but we got so caught up talking that we ended up going over 16, and we've spent nearly every day since then together. We dated for two years, were engaged for one, and were married in November 2021. We say that we are adventuring homebodies; we love being home together reading, working in the yard, gardening, walking our dogs, and cooking. However, we also love camping, jeeping, visiting national parks, and road-tripping so we can bring the dogs along. We share the same faith, hobbies, and goals, and we believe that as long as our marriage is strong, everything else will work out. As long as we are together we are happy and we hope to teach our children that the people they surround themselves with and their attitude towards life will set the foundation for their happiness and lifestyle.
Our Home and Family
We live in a small, tight-knit mountain town where families are always walking, riding bikes, and playing at the neighborhood park. We have three rescued dogs, Liberty, Sergeant, and Ollie, and two cats, Piper and Percy, and we hope to raise our children to love and care for animals just like we do. We grow fruits and vegetables in our garden beds and have fruit trees, and Jacob's parents live 15 minutes away with chickens, horses, and bees; they can't wait to teach their grandchildren how to collect eggs and care for the horses. Every Sunday is spent at church with Jacob's family, at the same small church his great-grandpa helped found in the 1950s, usually followed by lunch together. Brynli's dad and sister live nearby too and she is close with them both. None of our parents are grandparents yet, so this child will be spoiled, to say the least. Every Christmas Eve our family gathers for giant stockings, where everyone secretly fills everyone else's over sized stocking, and the night always ends in some kind of competition. Each summer we take a big family trip to a lake in the mountains for uninterrupted time together: mornings on the water, afternoons hiking or fishing, and evenings around a fire under a sky full of stars.
Things We Will Teach Your Child
That they are loved and accepted as they are.
A love for reading and learning.
How to care for every life, humans or animals.
To be unapologetically themselves.
The importance of being active.
How to be lighthearted and have fun.
Things That Make Us Happy
We love reading!
Spending quality, uninterrupted time together. Being out in nature and visiting new places.
Animals; our own, others pets, or in nature.
Cooking together at home and trying new recipes.
Spending time with family and friends.
“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. This decision is one of the most courageous, selfless things a person can do, and we don't take that lightly. You will always be part of this child's story, and part of ours; we will speak of you with honor, not silence, so this child grows up knowing their life began with two families who loved them enough to build something together. Whatever you decide, we are holding you in prayer for clarity, peace, and comfort in every step of this journey.
