Hi, we're Caitlin & Ethan!

We’re honored you’ve taken a moment to learn a little about our family. We know this page can only show a small piece of who we are, but we hope it gives you a sense of the love and joy we share every day. We can’t begin to understand how difficult and personal this decision is, but we approach it with deep respect and gratitude.

Our hope is to create a safe, supportive, and loving home where a child can grow, explore who they are, and always know how deeply they are loved.

Our Story

Our story began in Virginia in 2017, when we met at a gym while we were both in school.

After many late nights at our favorite taco place, we began dating and were married a year and a half later. We recently celebrated six years of marriage and feel deeply grateful for the life we’re building together. At our core, we value connection, kindness, and creating a home that feels safe, steady, and full of joy.

In 2024, we started our greatest and most meaningful adventure when we adopted our first son Hudson! We both grew up with siblings, and those relationships became our earliest and longest friendships. Because of that, we hope our children have the chance to grow up side by side, sharing life and building the same kind of lifelong friendship.

We love slow Saturday mornings, big breakfasts, and spending time together outside!

Home Sweet Home

Home is our favorite place to be!

We live in a family-friendly neighborhood and evenings are often spent outside riding bikes, drawing with chalk, or walking with the neighbors and their kids. When we aren't outside you'll probably find us in the kitchen cooking together, sharing a meal, reading a book, or playing monster trucks. Our three dogs, Winnie, Murphy, and Oakley, can usually be found running around the our big backyard or cleaning up after one of Hudson's snacks. Ethan’s parents live just five minutes away, and Sunday night family dinners are a standing tradition we look forward to each week.

Perfect Ordinary Day

• Ethan- breakfast and coffee, working in the garden, going for a run, time outside with Hudson, Patriots winning a football game

• Caitlin- pancakes, coffee on the porch, time outside with Hudson, a good book, family movie night, ending the day together

• Hudson- snacks all day, bike ride, park, playing monster trucks, nap, reading as many books as possible before bed
