We are sincerely grateful that you are taking the time to connect with our family. It is our hope that this glimpse into our lives will help you in making the undoubtedly difficult decision you’re facing. We love our family and friends endlessly and are excited about adding another little one to our circle. We recognize that this may be a scary and uncertain time and we have no idea what you are feeling, but we want to provide support to you and your child in any way we possibly can – no matter what you choose in the end. We are excited about the opportunity to journey together to ensure your child has an amazing life filled with endless opportunity and unconditional love!

About Us

We met through our mutual best friend on a night out.

Carissa's socks kept falling down in her shoes and a month later, Joseph slid into her DM's with a sock meme and an invitation for a first date. Soon after, Carissa moved out of the state to be a travel nurse. We kept in contact and would meet when Carissa came home to visit, but the real bonding moment was when both of us lost our dogs within two weeks of each other. After Carissa's next contract was over, she came home for good. Carissa is quiet, organized, and prefers a low-key night at home. Joseph is outgoing, spontaneous, and prefers to be out socializing. We find that our opposite qualities bring a balance to our relationship that is a good foundation for our marriage. We truly consider each other our best friends.

Our son, Lucas, is about 18 months old. We adopted him after matching with his birth mom in 2024. He is curious, playful and loves to be outside all the time. His favorite activity is swimming or anything having to do with water. We have so many splash pads in our town and spending weekends at splash pads or the pool with family has become a favorite hobby. We are so excited to see him pass on his love for reading and being outside to a sibling.

Our Home

Our home is truly our happy place!

We live in a three bedroom home with a large front room that has become the playroom for our son. We are fortunate to have a sidewalk across the street that goes directly to a large public park! Carissa loves to walk our dogs and Lucas at the park on her off days and you can find our whole family at the swings or the splash pad every weekend.

We are so thankful to live within a short driving distance to our extended family. Our son is the first grandchild on either side of the family, and both sets of grandparents have made it a priority to spend as much time as possible with Lucas. Joseph's parents live about an hour and a half away and frequently drive in for the weekend to spend time with us. Carissa's parents live about 20 minutes away and we see them weekly at a standing Thursday dinner.
