Christy and Marc
Hi! We’re Marc and Christy!
We wanted to start off by saying thank you for taking the time to read through our profile and that we truly believe it takes amazing strength and courage to consider adoption for your child!
We understand that this is no easy decision, but we are so humbled and excited to be given the opportunity to share with you a little more about us and hopefully come alongside you in this process.
Our hope is that as you read through our profile you’ll see how much we love family. One of our greatest desires is to have children to read, play, explore, and laugh with and we would be honored to share those moments with you. We also have lots of extended family nearby who are excited at the thought of welcoming a child home and lavishing them with love. Thank you again for taking the time out of your day to read through our profile.
Our Story
We met on an online dating site in the Fall of 2014.
We lived several hours away from each other and after exchanging emails and phone calls for several weeks we finally met in person. After spending a couple hours talking, joking and laughing we quickly knew that we had found something special and easily fell in love. After a year of dating with phone calls and weekend visits where we watched movies and went on long walks with milkshakes from our favorite local diner, Marc got down on one knee and proposed to Christy on a walk by a beautiful river with fall-colored trees all around. Three months later, we were married, celebrating with our family and friends in a joyful day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable dance moves.
Our marriage is stronger than ever. We are more in love with each other today than the day we got married, because we prioritize love, respect, unity, honor, clear communication, having fun, and putting each other first. We enjoy shopping together, trying new restaurants, walks in our neighborhood, lounging with our dogs, kayaking or paddleboarding on our beloved river, and spending time with our friends. We both also love to cook and make dinner together, and Christy loves to bake and enjoys trying new cookie recipes.
Home and Family
We live in a beautiful 4-bedroom, 2 bathroom home located in a wonderful neighborhood.
We are within 2 minutes of great schools and parks and no more than 15 minutes away in any direction from good shopping, outdoor activities like hiking, walking, kayaking/paddleboarding, minigolf, movie theaters, and restaurants, just to name a few. We have 3 dogs, a Shorkie (Shi Tzu/Yorkie) named Bailee and 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs named Guinness who we call Gunny, and Ireland who we call Isley. Bailee is 10 years old and loves to play and snuggle with Gunny and Isley.
For the holidays, we drive a few hours to see Marc’s parents for Thanksgiving and enjoy several days with them eating leftovers, watching tv, and sharing memories. Once Thanksgiving is over and we come home, Christmas goes up because we love Christmas! We enjoy a slow and early Christmas morning with a warm tea or coffee while enjoying the tree lights and exchanging gifts. Later, we see Christy’s parents for a yummy brunch and fun gift exchanges. Christy’s mom makes delicious coffee cake and likes to find a silly gift to give Marc every year that makes everyone laugh. After that, we see our closest friends and their families where we exchange more gifts, sing Christmas karaoke, and play games.
Things we will teach your child:
How to have self respect and treat others as we want to be treated.
How to problem solve.
How to persist when things are hard.
How to have positive self talk.
Things that make us happy:
Being together as a family.
Going out to have some fun like mini roadtrips, outdoor activities, shopping, and community events.
Watching a movie with our favorite dessert.
Cooking together.
Listening to or playing music—Marc loves to play drums and Christy loves to sing.
Hanging out with our friends.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to read through our profile and get to know a little about us! We long to have children and raise them in a home full of love and support and surrounded by an extended family that is so excited to meet them and love them. We want to raise our future child to know how important they are and how much love you have for them. We are relationship driven people and want to come alongside you in this difficult process as much or as little as you are comfortable with, to hopefully cultivate a relationship of love, trust and openness.
We know God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and we are praying blessings over you and the baby and want you to feel supported in this decision.
