Crystal and Alec

Crystal and Alec hope to adopt

Hello! We are Alec and Crystal

Thank you for taking the time to read about us.

We cannot imagine how overwhelming this might be for you but know that we want you to feel seen and that your experience is important to us. We hope to have the opportunity to get to know you, but we know the decision you make, whether that's adoption or parenting, will be the right decision and you have our full support. Whatever you decide, whether that is choosing us, another couple or choosing to parent your child yourself, it will be the right decision.

About Us

In 2012 our passion for helping people brought us together.

We met in Texas while working together as attorney advisors for the federal government helping people whose homes and businesses were destroyed by natural disasters. Alec had worked at the agency a bit longer, and was sometimes tasked with training Crystal, spending time with her while showing off his love of teaching. Alec thought Crystal was very cute and smart, while Crystal was drawn to Alec’s intelligence and passion for helping others. In 2014, Alec built up the courage to ask Crystal on a date to a local museum. There was only one problem…she didn't think it was a date! At the museum, she quickly realized how much he liked her, and we have been together ever since. Alec proposed during the total lunar eclipse in 2017 while on a road trip to get to the ideal viewing spot. We were married in 2021 with a small ceremony in our backyard, surrounded by our closest family and friends.

We are extremely loyal and committed to each other, always supporting the other’s happiness and dreams. We have a high degree of mutual respect for each other and believe in each other’s potential. We also find one other hilarious, and our home is always filled with laughter and goofiness. Travel is our favorite thing to do together, and we have traveled across the world and around the U.S. We also love eating out, watching TV, walking our dog, and spending time with family and friends. On nights at home you can find us enjoying playing card games together and just talking about the world and life.

Home sweet home!

We live in a diverse and established neighborhood in Stevens Park Village a few miles west of Downtown Dallas, Texas.

Our neighborhood is filled with families and children of all ages who are frequently found playing in the front yards of their homes. Our neighborhood is located close to several parks and we have easy access to all Dallas has to offer. Our home is described by guests as a "warm hug". We have a big fully fenced in backyard with two huge Oak trees that await a child who wants a tree house. Crystal loves to garden and the backyard is filled with a rainbow of beautiful plants and flowers in Spring and Summer. Our Christmas traditions include getting a real Christmas tree, decorating it using dehydrated fruit and cozying up on the couch with a blazing fire in the fireplace.

Crystal's family, including her mom, dad and brother, lives in a rural outskirt of Dallas on a 20 plus acre parcel of land with horses, a large pond for swimming and fishing, and tractors for a young child to ride. Alec's sister lives 10 minutes from our home and visits weekly to have dinner and bring her dog, Tova, over for a play date. We have a 2 year old dog named Rylie who loves to cuddle and go on walks. We have two 14-year-old cats named Ace and Deuce who laze around the house all day.

Our house is filled with love and laughter.  We look forward to sharing our lives and home with a child if blessed with the opportunity.
