Hello! We are Micah and Elin!

We first just want to say thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about who we are and our story!

We know that this decision for you comes from a place of love and selflessness and we admire you deeply for your courage in considering such a heartfelt decision. We both recognize that you are choosing what you think is best for your child and it truly shows just how much you care about their future. We know that we do not know your story or your circumstances, but your consideration for adoption is a beautiful act of love and it speaks volumes of your character. We want you to know, above all else, that you are truly loved! We do not want you to have to walk through this alone and we desire to be here for you in whatever capacity you are looking for. Our hearts have longed to be able to start our journey of parenthood and we are so thankful that this journey might be possible because of you. We give you our word that we will remain people with high integrity, love your baby well with our whole hearts, and raise them to know just how special they are, because of you.

Our Story

Our story began when our friends convinced us to try online dating!

Within days of chatting we realized there was something special between us. After weeks of getting to know each other and with a five hour distance that seperated us, we met halfway, in a quaint little coffee shop for our first date. Our biggest desire was to find someone who was a good communicator, kind, empathetic and someone that loved Jesus. In each other we found just that. Our love story unfolded quickly through a lot of prayer and intentionality and we wouldn't change any of it for the world!

In our free time we love spending time with our family and friends, walking our dogs, exploring a good antique shop and seeing who can find the best coffee spot! We put a lot of intentionality in making sure our life is full of joy, peace and adventure. 

Home and Family

We love our cozy little corner of the world! Our community is safe, inclusive and full of great opportunities for adventure, and a good education.

Our neighborhood is like family to us! Everyone looks out for each other and we know we are safe here. We live in a five-bedroom, three and a half bed house with two living spaces and plenty of space for our growing family. We have worked hard to put a lot of love and charm into our home! We love to host, so our backyard is large and has plenty of space for our two dogs, future children, and for gatherings with family and friends! 

We have always known that adoption would be a part of our story! Elin has several family members who have been adopted so watching adoption unfold from an early age, taught her that loving someone unconditionally doesn’t always mean being blood related. Her heart for adoption moved Micah and after years of trying to start our family naturally, we knew it was time to open our hearts to adoption. We know that adoption will never fix our infertility, but we know that through adoption we can provide a child with a safe and loving home enviorment to grow up in. 

Family Values

• Faith: We were both raised in the church and taught what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We want our children to know that they are deeply loved and where that love comes from. We desire to raise our children in this way by being an example to them of God's love.

• Gratitude: We want to help our children cultivate an attitude of appreciation for everything the Lord has given us. Knowing that life is short, we should be thankful for all things. Equally having a heart of generosity so that we can bless others just as we have been blessed.

• Kindness: Having a heart of kindness and respect for others is something we want to deeply instill into our children.Teaching them that everyone's voice and feelings are valuable and deserve to be heard, understood and appreciated.

• Integrity: We know we don't have a lot of control in this life, but what we do know is that we can control the kind of character we have. Integrity to us is doing the right thing even when nobody is watching.

A Joy Filled Life

• We want to live our lives full of joy! We believe that we were not created to do life alone so we spend alot of time time with our family and friends. We love building relationships that we know will make a positive impact in this world. 

• We love to spend alot of intentional time together. That may include going on walks around our nieghborhood with a good coffee in hand, finding a new antique store to checkout, traveling to explore a new spot or having a quite movie night in! If we are together, thats all that matters. 

• We celebrate life BIG! Holidays are so important to us. We do affirmations at each persons birthday, where we celebrate who they are and lift them up with words of love! We love the Chiefs and are big fans, so the fall time is full of lots of football watch parties. The Christmas season is our all time favorite and we love our tradition of putting the tree up (before Thanksgiving) with a good Christmas movie and popcorn to follow!  We will always find a reason to celebrate anything and anyone.

We hope we have given you a little glimpse into who we are! We know that because of your selfless choice for adoption, that we will be making a lifelong commitment to your child, and also to you! You will always be respected by us and we are prepared to work diligently on cultivating a healthy relationship built on trust, respect and openness. Our home will be a home where you are known, talked about, and immensely loved. We would be honored to provide a loving, stable, and nurturing home for your child. Our greatest desire is that your child will grow up knowing that they are accepted, needed, important and incredibly loved.
