Evan and Emily
Hi! We are Evan + Emily.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know who we are!
We are beyond grateful for your openness to consider us as adoptive parents for your child. We understand this process can be deeply overwhelming and conflicting, though we cannot fully imagine the different emotions you may be feeling during this time. We admire your courage as you consider adoption and choosing what is best for you and your child. Our prayer is that you have a true sense of peace as you make this decision.
If you choose us on your adoption journey, we will do our best to give your child a full and happy life. We want to honor your baby's adoption story and you as your baby's birth mom with openness and grace. More than anything, we want them growing up knowing that we love them, we are for them, and of your love and sacrifice for them.
About Us
We have known each other since we were young because we grew up at the same church.
However, it wasn't until college that we started showing an interest in each other and dating. We've been married for almost 10 years, and it is safe to say that we are best friends. We love being together and making each other laugh, going on adventures in the city, or staying at home and being homebodies. One of our favorite things to do is to try new restaurants and then to recreate a fun meal at home. Something that attracted us to each other was our love for music. We love going to concerts to see some of our favorite bands, and also enjoy playing music together at home or at church. We are thankful to live in a beautiful area where we try to spend as much time as we can outdoors, either going for a hike at a nearby trail, paddle boarding on the lake, or going for walks around our neighborhood.
Home sweet home!
We live in a one-story, ranch style house, tucked away in a wooded neighborhood in the Pacific Northwest.
We have sweet friends that live directly across the street from us, and our neighbors are all different ages. We often see kids running or riding bikes up and down our street, or families going for walks in our neighborhood. We also often see various types of wildlife in our neighborhood, such as deer, rabbits, and raccoons.
We usually celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with our extended family, and we celebrate Easter with close friends from our church. During the holidays, we love to decorate our house and watch festive movies, and make peppernuts, which is small spice cookie that Emily's family has made for generations. At the end of a long day or trip, we can't wait to be home because that's where we can let down and be together.
Things we will teach your child
that they are loved and were made for a purpose

to be resilient and prepared for potential difficulties in life
that we will be there for them in the sad times, happy times, and every time in between

In Closing
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little more!
We hope that this has given you a small glimpse into who we are, our lives, and the love we have for each other and a future child. We would be honored and humbled to bring your child into lives, and would desire some level of openness that feels healthy for you, for us, and for your child. But more than anything we want you to feel at peace with whomever you choose, whether that's us or not. In the end, we want you to know that you are loved and you matter. Our prayer is that you would find comfort and peace in the days ahead, for both you and your child. We hope to meet you someday soon!
