Hannah & Jason

Hello! We are Jason and Hannah!

We just want you to know how grateful we are that you are taking the time to read about our family. We know this may sound strange but we have been thinking about you everyday for a long time, and we don’t believe in coincidence. No one can prepare you for the unexpected, you’re just thrown in, ready or not. We don’t know your situation and we’re not going to pretend to know what you’re going through, but we want you to know, we are with you. From the moment you got pregnant we have been praying for you and your baby everyday multiple times a day. Your decision to read our story speaks of your bravery. You have a big decision to make and we hope that as you read about our family you find so much peace in what you are choosing for your baby.

Our Story

We met seven years ago, in a rock climbing gym. We really started a friendship when our families started going to the same church, and were both on the worship team. We had an obvious connection but surprisingly, we didn't start dating for another two years! By the time we started dating we already knew we wanted to get married, it was only eight months later that we tied the knot! It was a whirlwind! Our love story is a thoughtful journey that unfolded at its own pace, revealing a love that had quietly blossomed in the background of our friendship. We both play guitar and sing, and music is a big part of our lives. We love riding our bikes around town, hiking, swimming, boating, and spending time with family and friends. We love being married and we are excited to continue to grow our family.

We have a two year old daughter named Rosie. She is bundle of joy, spunk, love, and grace all wrapped up into the wonderful gift that she is. She is very outgoing, silly and adventurous. She is so excited at the prospect of having a baby brother or sister and asks about everyday if we are bringing a baby home.

Jason grew up in a home with two adopted siblings from Ethiopia. We see first hand what beauty has come from a hard situation, in bringing two of his siblings through adoption, and we couldn’t imagine life without them. Because Jason grew up in a multicultural home, we love that we get to embrace the diversity. We are excited to embrace and celebrate diversity in our home too as we grow our family in this way!

Home sweet home!

We live in a beautiful small mountain town in Idaho! Our home is positioned in the middle of town, very close to downtown and our local lake beach. In the summer time we are riding our bikes to the beach every single day. We love the diversity of living in the mountains yet it has a vibrant beachy-like culture. I love that I run into people that I know, sometimes it’s at the grocery store, snowboarding on the mountain, or hanging out at the beach! It’s a growing town so there’s always new things happening and a weekend adventure waiting for us. We have lots of playgrounds, beaches, and lots of different hiking trails. Living here has fostered such a sense of adventure in our family which we love.

We have a large extended family here who we get to see multiple times a week! Our gatherings are often a big, beautiful, and sometimes chaotic party. We wouldn’t change a thing. The excitement surrounding the adoption of a new child into our family is truly incredible. Everyone is eagerly cheering and supporting us each day, making the journey even more special.
