Hello! We’re Jennifer and Steven

A blend of east coast roots embracing the west coast lifestyle.

We still have a hint of our East Coast accents, a love for bagels, and quick wit. From the West Coast, we’ve added sunset views, flip-flops year-round, sushi nights and weekend adventures exploring new places. We’re passionate about becoming parents and can’t wait to share our love, experiences, and family traditions with our future child. We look forward to everyday adventures, whether traveling or just enjoying a morning walk to catch a glimpse of the dolphins—we already have the stroller ready!

Our Story

We grew up just across the river from each other near New York city, visiting the same places, yet somehow our paths never crossed. It wasn’t until we both moved 3,000 miles to California that we discovered we lived on the same street—just 23 houses apart—and even shared mutual friends here! 

During the pandemic, Steven rented a cabin to spend time with friends, unaware it was owned by Jennifer. Two years later, we matched on a dating app. When Jennifer shared her number, Steven realized it looked familiar—he’d texted her years earlier about the cabin rental! Our first date at a sushi spot quickly became unforgettable and is now our perfect anniversary spot. Looking back, it feels like the universe kept nudging us toward each other. And here we are, finally together!

Home sweet home!

Our home in Redondo Beach is in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, an amazing place to live and raise a family. 

With festivals, outdoor concerts, BBQs, beach days, hikes, game nights, and so many playgrounds, it’s full of life and adventure. We both individually chose this town from across the country before even meeting and we’re so grateful for it. There are endless activities for kids here, from sports to volunteering to movies on the beach allowing creativity and interests to blossom. We love exploring new places, whether it’s the desert, western towns, or our favorite mountains. Spending time in nature is a core part of our family culture—hiking, fishing, bird watching, paddle boarding with sea lions or just enjoying sunsets with a kind word to ourselves or others. We’re always seeking new adventures and finding ways to immerse ourselves in the world outside of technology.

We aim to teach values close to our hearts:

• Family time is precious, creating meaningful moments with loved ones. 

• Loyalty strengthens our family bond.

• Empathy helps us understand others by walking in their shoes.

We find so many ways to smile in life and hobbies are key for us

• We love trying new things like making stickers,  sewing, painting clay figures, and more,  but our favorite is going on big adventures! 

• Camping in southern california, hiking Half Dome, and exploring the Everglades are just a few of Steven’s highlights. 

• Jennifer loves dance classes, bike rides by the ocean, painting, and farmers markets.

• Together, we enjoy travel, games, outdoor concerts, beach picnics, and cheering on the Florida Gators and New York Giants. 

• We also adore kid-friendly fun—mini-golf, arcade games, sandcastles, and arts and crafts. 

• We take tons of pictures, always seeking ways to bring happiness into each day, and we’ve vowed to keep our inner child alive by being the parents who play right alongside their kids.
