Hello! We are Mike and Kacey

We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to share our hearts and dreams with you as we embark on the journey of growing our family through adoption. Our hearts are with you as you navigate the challenging and courageous journey of choosing the best family for your precious child and we want to offer our unwavering support to you no matter your decision. We eagerly anticipate the day when our home will be blessed with the joy of welcoming a new baby into our lives. We hope that in reviewing our profile you will see the depth of love we hold for family but also the joy and enthusiasm with which we embrace life.  

About Us

We originally met on Match.com in 2018 and our journey together began by lacing up our running shoes for our first date involving a run by the river followed by brunch. Running became more than just a shared hobby- it became a journey of getting to know each other and culminated in running several local races together. We also connected over our mutual love of dogs and our beloved pets seamlessly came together and are an integral part of our family and life. After four years of dating, we joyfully tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Austin followed by a celebratory Tex-Mex lunch surrounded by our closest family and friends. We are so fourtunate to have such a resilient, loving relationship and look forward to a future filled with continued growth and happiness together. 

We find joy in the simple pleasures in life, wither it's the exhiliration of running together, the warmth of spending time with our three cherished dogs, or the delight in creating delicious meals as a team. Our evenings are filled with laughter and relaxation, whether we are engrossed in a favorite TV show or engaged in a friendly competition with a board game. We enjoy traveling to new places once or twice a year and enjoy having new shared experiences while creating lasting memories together.  

Home sweet home!

We are blessed to live in a beautiful, four-bedroom home in family friendly cul-de-sac that is surrounded by the highest ranked schools in our district and spacious parks. Our charming adobe boasts a large shaded backyard, perfect for playtime with our dogs and enjoying outdoor dinners in the favorable New Mexico weather. We have enjoyed the process of starting to gather items for our future child and think we have the most perfect nursery theme for our family- dogs. We are fortunate to live in close proximity to Kacey's parents as well as several friends who have young children and are excited to have such a close-knit community to share with our future child.

Our three dogs Angus (bloodhound mix), Beau (goldendoodle), and Riley (chihuahua) fill our home with endless joy and we are excited for our future child to enjoy their playful companionship throughout their childhood.

• pursured her life long dream of becoming a teacher and has been in the field for 10 years

• enjoys volunteering her time as a dog walker at a local animal shelter 

• is an avid runner and has run 22 marathons

• enjoys arts and crafts and is currently learning how to crochet

• favorite sports team- Texas Longhorns
