Hello! We are Evan & Kayla

Thank you so much for taking the time to view our profile and get a glimpse into our lives as hopeful adoptive parents. We’ve been married for nearly four years and are raising our sweet daughter alongside our two dogs. We love any chance to spend time as a family, especially with the friends and loved ones who make up our close-knit village.

Our Story

We met in 2019 while living in Houston, TX, and quickly discovered how much we enjoyed being together. Our second date was a concert at White Oak Music Hall, and not long after, we went on our first family vacation. We were married in January 2021 in New Orleans, surrounded by friends and family who have cheered us on since the beginning. Our daughter was born in July 2023 and has brought so much joy to our lives.

Life has been an adventure, and we’re excited for what’s ahead as we grow our family through adoption.

Our Home

We instantly fell in love with our home in Houston.

It has four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a spacious backyard that’s perfect for play. Our favorite part of our home is the big kitchen, where we cook and host everything from birthday parties and baby showers, to crawfish boils, and Saturday BBQs. There’s usually music playing, kids running around, and lots of laughter. Our home is ready and we even have a nursery set up for a new addition. Our two dogs, Tucker (13) and Hank (2), are beloved members of our family. They’ve been gentle and playful with our daughter since day one and love being included in all our family fun. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch or posing for holiday pictures, Tucker and Hank are always part of the action. We love playing in our backyard either on the bounce house or with our water table and splash pad. During months when it's not so hot outside we love walking to our neighborhood park and playing on the swings and slides. We also live close to the Houston Zoo and Children's Museum and have memberships to both that get used frequently.
