Kelsey and David

Hello! We are Kelsey & David!

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about us.

We can only imagine the emotions and decisions you may be carrying right now, and we want you to know that we are praying for you and cheering you on as you navigate this journey. We believe you and your baby are deeply loved by God and that every child is a precious gift created with purpose and value. After more than ten years of hoping to grow our family, we are incredibly grateful to be pursuing adoption and would be honored to welcome a child into our hearts and home. Our lives are centered on faith, family, laughter, and loving others well, and we look forward to sharing that love with a child every day. If you choose us, your child will be deeply cherished, surrounded by a supportive family and community, and always know how loved they are. Most importantly, we want you to know that your story matters, your love matters, and we are grateful that you have taken a moment to hear ours.

Our Story

Our story started long before either of us imagined we would end up married.

We grew up at the same church and spent years serving together, but somewhere along the way friendship turned into something more. What drew us together was how easy it felt to be ourselves around each other. We could spend hours talking, laughing, and sharing our hearts, and that still hasn't changed after all these years. One of our favorite memories is our first date, when David agreed to ride several thrill rides at a local festival despite secretly hating them, simply because Kelsey loved them. That willingness to show up for one another has been a theme throughout our marriage. We have walked through wonderful seasons and heartbreaking ones, and each experience has made us more grateful for the life we've built together. At the end of the day, we are best friends who genuinely enjoy being together, and we feel incredibly thankful for the love story God has written for us.

Home and Family

Our home is the kind of place where people kick off their shoes, grab a seat on the couch, and stay awhile.

On any given evening, we're making dinner together, catching up on the day, or throwing a ball for Paisley, our chocolate Labrador, who never seems to run out of energy. We love having friends and family over, whether it's for a meal around the table, a game night, or simply talking late into the evening about life. Both of our families live nearby, which means holidays, birthdays, and impromptu dinners are regular parts of life rather than special occasions. Thanksgiving usually finds David in the kitchen with his dad, while Christmas morning is slow and unhurried, with breakfast cooking and nowhere we need to be. We love celebrating the people around us, especially the children in our lives, and rarely miss a chance to show up for a birthday party, school event, or dance recital. We've also been blessed with a church community that has become family over the years and shares in both the joyful and difficult moments of life. When we think about the home we hope to offer a child, we picture a life surrounded by people who know them well, cheer them on loudly, and love them deeply.

Things We Will Teach Our Child:

  • That they are deeply loved and valued exactly as they are

  • How to laugh often, even when life doesn't go as planned

  • The value of hard work, perseverance, and learning from mistakes

  • The joy of serving others and building meaningful relationships

  • What it means to follow Jesus and trust Him through every season of life

Things That Make Us Happy:

  • Playing fetch and cuddling with our dog, Paisley

  • Game nights and puzzles

  • Sharing a meal and lingering around the table in conversation with our friends and family

  • Traveling and making memories with the people we love

  • Laughing together, whether it's a dad joke, funny meme, or a silly dance party in the kitchen

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.
— 1 John 3:1

In Closing

Thank you for spending time with our story.

While we don't know what the future holds, we do know the child placed in our family will be loved every single day of their life. We promise to celebrate their milestones, comfort their hurts, encourage their dreams, remind them often how cherished they are, and fill our home with joy and laughter. We also promise to honor the love and courage that brought them into this world and to speak of you with gratitude and respect. Thank you for considering us, and know that we are praying for you as you walk this journey.
