Ron and Kelsey

Hello! We are Ron and Kelsey!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to get to know us.

We cannot even begin to fathom what you are facing right now, but please know that we admire your strength in considering adoption. We see the love you have for your child and how much courage it is taking to show your love in this way. Our hope is for you to get a small glimpse of our lives, see our love for our family, and our admiration of your selflessness through these words. Whether or not we are the right family for your child we see you, we appreciate you, and we will continue to pray for you.

About Us

Our story began in the spring of 2015 when we met as college students preparing to become agricultural science teachers, but it wasn’t until the following summer that we realized our friendship could become something more. We were drawn together by our shared love of family, faith, and a willingness to make sacrifices for one another, and after a year of teaching nine hours apart, a series of what we call “God winks” brought us to schools just an hour apart. Ron proposed during a Sunday afternoon at the zoo in October 2017, and we were married surrounded by our closest family and friends in July 2018. Since then, we have built a life centered around faith, family, adventure, and being teammates through every season, including renovating a home, serving on an international mission trip, walking through miscarriage and infertility, and ultimately growing our family through adoption. In 2021, we were blessed to become parents to our daughter, Layton, whose spunky, curious, adventurous personality fills our home with laughter and joy. In 2023, we welcomed our son, Miles, a sweet and hilarious little boy who loves dirt, tractors, trying new tricks, and a good snuggle. We are intentional about teaching both of our children how deeply they are loved by their birth families and by us, and we celebrate the women who made the selfless decisions that allowed us to become their parents. Kelsey is a nurturing, compassionate problem-solver who loves photography, the outdoors, family time, and investing in the lives of children, while Ron is caring, dependable, funny, and happiest when he is surrounded by family, friends, and kids.

Above all, we are grateful for the life God has given us and trust that He is continuing to write our family’s story, and we are excited to see how He grows our family and uses each of us to share His love with others.

Home and Family

In January 2024, we finished building what we hope will be our forever home on two acres of family land in a small rural Texas town, surrounded by cornfields and cow pastures, with Kelsey’s parents as our only neighbors. Having them nearby is such a blessing, as they are an important part of our daily lives and lovingly care for our children while we are at work. We have created a home and outdoor space where family time is at the center of everyday life, whether we are jumping on the trampoline, swinging, riding bikes, playing outside, or simply spending time together. Our family also includes our two dogs, Grady, our sweet and loyal Lab mix, and Rex, our energetic long-haired dachshund who loves golf cart rides and couch snuggles. Family has always been at the heart of our relationship, and we are incredibly close with our parents, siblings, and extended families, who have supported us through every season of life and are excited to welcome another child into our family. We cherish traditions like our annual beach trip with Kelsey’s extended family, spending Thanksgiving with Ron’s family, and celebrating “Thanksmas,” a special day when more than 25 family members gather to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We feel incredibly grateful that our children, and any future child who joins our family, will grow up surrounded by so much love, support, laughter, and people who will always be there for them.
