Our Story

From the moment we met, we were inseparable—what was meant to be a quick first date turned into eight hours of conversation and laughter.

Although our hobbies are different, our values and priorities aligned instantly, with family and our shared work in healthcare forming the heart of our connection. We not only found each other but also the love and support of one another's families, who truly enjoy spending time together. In March 2024, we became engaged, and just two months later we were married on the beach in Southern Alabama—a place special to us for the family vacations we've cherished there over the years. Surrounded by loved ones, we celebrated the beginning of our life together and our shared dream of growing our family.

Laura loves gardening, baking, reading, listening to podcasts, and arranging flowers. Shane enjoys playing guitar, cooking and grilling, camping, going to concerts, and reading. Together, we love cooking new recipes, spending time with our pup Roxie, hiking, exploring national parks, listening to 90s music, attending sporting events, and traveling.

Home and Family

We live in a newly built four-bedroom, two-bath home that we moved into in 2023.

As its first owners, we've loved making it our own and creating a space that's both comfortable and full of character. Our home has plenty of space for family gatherings, playtime, and quiet nights together. Our neighborhood is diverse, safe, and filled with young families, just a block away from both an elementary school and a high school, with several playgrounds and a beautiful 248-acre park with trails and open space.

Our home is already filled with warmth and love, but we can't wait to create new memories with a child—bedtime stories, holiday traditions, movie nights with popcorn, and afternoons playing with our sweet pup, Roxie, who can't wait to be a big sister.

Family truly is truly at the heart of our lives. While Laura lives several states away from her family, we stay closely connected through group texts, phone calls, and frequent video chats. Shane's family lives close by and we see them often for family dinners, celebrations, and weekend get-togethers.
