Hello! We are Patrick and Lauren.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read about us, and we would love to get to learn about you.

We want to honor the incredible love and care you are pouring into this decision for your child’s future. We were blessed to build our family through adoption three years ago, and our daughter is absolutely thrilled at the idea of becoming a big sister. We hope this glimpse into our daily lives—filled with messy kitchen experiments, neighborhood walks with our dogs, and a lot of laughter—gives you a sense of the warm, unconditional love we are ready to share. We are so excited to grow our family again and are incredibly grateful to you for considering us.

Our Story

We met in New York City, in a theater class.

We got on the same subway car after class, and in riding from 116th Street to Union Square, we realized we are both weird goofballs who love to laugh. We went on our first date that Friday, and that was it!

Our beautiful daughter Katrina joined our family through adoption in 2023, and we love being her parents more than we even thought could be possible!

We absolutely love life here in New England and jump at every chance to explore it together, hiking local trails or heading to the coast for a beach day. We are both teachers, and school life is a family affair for us. Our two campuses offer so much to access and be enriched by. We love filling our calendar with theater productions, art exhibits, and cheering from the bleachers at sports games. We think being deeply engaged with our school communities will give our children many different experiences and perspectives on life. Summers are reserved for our happy place: our family lake house in Maine, where days are filled with swimming, relaxing on the water, and just unplugging.

Home and Community

We live in a progressive, family-focused town with a welcoming spirit. Our neighborhood is full of caring neighbors who look out for one another.

Family Life:

Life here is full of laughter and movement. We have a big backyard where Katrina loves to run and play, and we are fortunate to have Lauren's parents living right down the street. Here in town, we have a supportive church community as well as many of Lauren's university colleagues and their families. We divide our holiday time between Connecticut and our extended families on the east coast. Katrina loves visiting her cousins and they can't wait for another new playmate!

Furry Friends:

Our dogs, Eddie and Stevie, have been our best friends for twelve years. They are social, loving, and ready to welcome a new little sibling to the pack.

Fun Facts About Our Family

• Patrick planned the perfect mountaintop proposal...then it thunderstormed (it was a wet and windy "I do!")

• Lauren and Patrick have lived together in three different states on both coasts.

• We love music - our home is filled with guitar, piano and singing

• We love reading - there are books in every room

• Katrina's current faves: blue (color), "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus" (book), Peppa Pig (TV show), cheese quesadillas (food), "I'm Still Standing" (song)
