Mary and Ryan

Mary and Ryan are hoping to adopt

Hi there! We are Ryan and Mary!

We are grateful to you for taking the time to learn a little about us! We want you to know that our hearts are with you on this journey. We greatly admire your courage, strength and the love you have for your child to be making this decision. We hope that you feel all the love and support that you need, and we hope that this little snapshot will give you an idea of who we are and express how much love and joy we have to share with your child.

Our Story

We met via mutual friends. We both knew pretty early in our relationship that we had found our other half, and after a year of dating Ryan proposed to Mary and we were married in 2013. Our relationship is built on trust, love and the joy we find in just being together. We love being outdoors in any capacity and make a point of getting time outside as a family every day. We both share a love of hiking, skiing, and swimming. One of our favorite things to do as a family is spending a day or two at the beach, with phones turned off so that we can fully enjoy our time and experiences together.

Our daughter, Addison, is 5 years old. She is a beautiful, incredibly smart, feisty little girl with a larger-than-life personality. She loves going to the playground with friends, riding her bike or scooter, and is our resident artist, often spending hours coloring or drawing. She is an incredible big sister and the best friend to her little brother as well as his protector. She is so excited at the prospect of becoming a big sister again.

Oliver recently turned 2 and loves to let everyone know that. Like all of our family, he loves being outside and is endlessly content to dig in the dirt or ride his balance bike. He loves trying to keep up with his big sister and is, without a doubt, her biggest fan. He has the sweetest, gentlest nature and is so caring, even at his young age. We know he will make the best big brother.

Home and Family

We live in a large and diverse neighborhood full of families and children, many of whom are associated with the military base Ryan is currently assigned to. Our home is at the end of a cul-de-sac and we love that we don't have much traffic on our street as it gives Addie and Oliver lots of space to ride their bikes and scooters around. We have a huge backyard with a swing set and slide and plans for a climbing dome soon!  Our neighbors are all very friendly and we have a lot of friends throughout our neighborhood that we get together with regularly. At least a few times a week, we meet with friends at our neighborhood playground or pool, and we often have friends over to let our kids play outside and ride bikes together. A fun tradition that we have is meeting up with some of Mary's sisters with their husbands and kids for a big family vacation. Addie and Oliver have a lot of cousins close to their ages and taking these trips and spending time together is always a highlight for us all.

We are a military family and right now we don't live in the same state as our extended families, but we make a point of visiting them and spending time together a few times a year.  We are very close with our extended family on both sides and they are all so excited to welcome another child to our family through adoption. We had unending love and support from our entire family when we were adopting Addie and then Oliver and they have both been showered with love and adoration from every family member from the moment they were born, just as our next child will be.

Thank you!

Our greatest wish for our children is to have a happy, joyful childhood and to grow up to be kind, caring, compassionate adults. Our ultimate goal as parents is to always be present and to make sure that our children always feel loved, cherished, safe and happy. We promise to give your child the best life possible and to love them beyond measure. We promise to always honor and love you and to raise our future child to know he or she is loved by you. We have so much love and joy to share with our future child and we eagerly await the day that we get to meet him or her. Adoption has already blessed our family immensely and we are so grateful for everything we have been given, but we are looking forward to the day that our family will grow and be even more blessed than before.
