Our lives don’t always look the way these pictures portray them to be, but what is steady is the love we have for each other and from our community. We know it is hard to make such a big, weighty decision in such a brief period, and we admire your courage to enter into this journey.

Our Story

Our story began in college when a mutual friend, who noticed our similar personalities and senses of humor, introduced us.

She could not have been more right - Ian and I hit it off immediately after our first date. We quickly bonded over our shared love of sports, similar faith perspectives, and our ability to make each other laugh constantly. What drew us together was our matching sense of humor and deeply shared values that formed a strong foundation for our relationship. After dating for five years, getting to know each other through college and early career transitions, Ian planned a special Valentine's Day proposal that I will always treasure. After enjoying dinner at a nice restaurant, he took me to a bridge overlooking Lady Bird Lake where he surprised me by getting down on one knee and asking for my hand in marriage with a beautiful ring. We have now been married for eleven wonderful years, growing together through life's adventures and challenges. Those same qualities that initially brought us together - laughter, shared values, and genuine friendship - continue to strengthen our relationship today as we build our family and create a home filled with love and joy.

Home and Family

Our home has a welcoming, open layout that is cozy yet spacious, with plenty of room for family living, a dedicated guest room, and children's areas where we enjoy game nights, movies, and creative play in our upstairs loft. We are fortunate to live in a distinctive large town with an active, outdoor-loving community that is both uniquely eclectic and warmly inviting. Our neighborhood provides excellent amenities, including a community pool with a splash pad perfect for young children and a playground where kids can play. Our friendly dog has been a wonderful companion to our daughter and gets along beautifully with all the children who visit our home!

Weekends typically revolve around gatherings with friends and family at homes or kid-friendly venues, followed by church and brunches with our community. Weekdays balance our daughter's seasonal activities like dance or kickball with small group meetings and quiet family dinners at home.

Our family traditions reflect our cultural heritage and love for togetherness—from hosting lively Chinese New Year celebrations with friends to our sacred monthly "Family Dinners" with our small group, and our treasured summer vacations where we bond over delicious meals, friendly game competitions, and passionately supporting Texas Football together.
