Hello from Austin and Mollie!

Although we have not met, we know that you are brave. Your courage brings us so much gratitude and respect. We want you to know that as you consider adoption for this child, we believe it is a decision rooted in love. If in our care, please know this child will know about you and you will always remain an important part of their story.

We are so grateful you would take the time to get to know our family. We hope you can see the love we have for each other, our son Jakobe, and the love we are eager to extend to this child.  It is our hope to give them a life full of care, support and opportunities.

Our Story

We met 10 years ago at work when we were both hired at the same architecture firm. 

Mollie was quickly drawn to Austin’s kind, gentle demeanor while Austin noticed Mollie’s authentic and humble approach to life. Within a matter of three years, we were married! As architects, we share a passion for the design of buildings and love getting to see the world through this creative perspective. 

We were thrilled to become parents a couple years ago when we adopted our son Jakobe. He is now almost 2 and always on the move! Whether it’s playing with the water hose in the backyard or adventures at the playground, we love being together as a family. We cant wait to keep making memories as a family of four!

Our Home and Family

Home is our happy place.

One of our favorite features of our house is the fireplace. It is the heart of our home. We light a fire as soon as the temperature starts to drop! You can find us in the backyard most summer nights with the music playing in the background. The playset and fence surrounding our large backyard makes it a great place for kids to play.

Our house is in a great location. With an elementary school right across the street, we have a playground super close!  We know our neighbors well and there are several families with kids around us. One thing we appreciate about our neighborhood and city as a whole is the diversity in ethnicity and culture. It’s a great place to raise a family.  We also live less than a mile from a lake. We take advantage of this often since we love walking, biking, and picnicking!

Things We Love

Austin:

• Running long distances/ triathlons

• Cooking dinner for my family on the smoker

• Sketching creative ideas

Mollie:

• Baking with fresh milled flour

• Pushing the stroller through our neighborhood

• Family dance parties in the living room

Holiday Favorites

• Dressing up with a family costume theme for Halloween.

• Game night on Christmas Eve!

• Watching the Macy's day parade Thanksgiving morning as we start preparing the big meal.

• Putting the Christmas tree up November 1st!
