Natalie and Jeff
Hello! We are Jeff, Natalie & Jack
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.
We know you're facing an incredibly difficult decision as you explore adoption, and we're honored to be part of your journey. We truly appreciate the time you're taking to learn about who we are and the life we could share. Thank you for your courage and for the incredible act of love that adoption represents.
Honestly, we never imagined we'd be here, sharing our story in this way. But here we are, and we're grateful for it. Life has a way of taking unexpected turns, and while it doesn't always go as planned, we believe it can still be beautiful and full of joy. We hope that as you explore our profile, you get a real sense of who we are and the love we're ready to give.
Our Story
While we grew up less than 20 miles apart in Kansas City, our paths didn't cross until we met almost 2,000 miles from home on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta. We dated long distance for a year and were married in Aspen, Colorado amongst the canvas of the Aspen leaves changing colors. This year, we're celebrating our 11th anniversary, and while we still love to travel and explore new places together, our greatest adventure has been building our family.
Jeff played football at the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he suffered a spinal cord injury as a cadet. It hasn't stopped us—or even slowed us down. Whether we're skiing in the mountains, ziplining in Montana, or simply living life to the fullest with Jack, we never sit on the sidelines. As Jeff often says, "We fight the good fight!" We're passionate about veteran advocacy and supporting those with disabilities, and we strive every day to make life great for our family and our community.
In the early summer of 2024, we were blessed with the adoption of our son, Jack. From the moment we held him, our hearts grew in ways we never knew possible, and we are forever grateful to his birth mother for choosing us.
Now, our family feels ready (and eager) to grow again!
Home sweet home!
We live on a 3-acre ranch in north county San Diego that's become the perfect place to raise our family.
We've fully embraced Southern California living by planting over 400 fruit trees and welcoming three miniature Sicilian donkeys who provide endless entertainment. We love spending time in the greenhouse and experimenting with the herbs and fruits that grow right in our backyard. Our home also features a guest house that welcomes our extended family, who visit often, and we're blessed with a supportive church community. We plan to raise our children with the same abundance of unconditional love that surrounds Jack every day, providing for them, protecting them, and giving them space to flourish into their truest selves. We're committed to honoring and celebrating our children's heritage and culture, and we invite you to be part of their lives in whatever way feels right for you. Our children will discover themselves through diverse experiences, whether playing sports, learning instruments, or exploring new interests, and we'll be there every step of the way, supporting how they uniquely learn and connect with the world.
Things That Make Us Happy
Being Outside – Our days often start with feeding the donkeys together, and we love picking fresh oranges straight from the tree. Whether we're swimming in the pool or riding our Gator over to visit neighbors, being outdoors is where we recharge.
Exploring New Places – From Jack's first baseball game to ziplining through the Montana mountains (yes, Jeff conquered that course in his wheelchair) we're always up for an adventure. We love discovering the world together and creating memories along the way.
Being Together in the Kitchen - Whether we're flipping Sunday pancakes or experimenting with a new recipe, the kitchen is where we naturally gather. Jack loves being right in the middle of it all, pressing every button he can reach and "helping" in his own enthusiastic way. It's where we slow down, laugh over the inevitable messes, and simply enjoy being together. These moments around the table, breaking bread as a family, are what home feels like to us.
We Will Teach Your Child
The Power of Selfless Love – We will honor the courage and selflessness you've shown through your adoption decision, teaching our children that the greatest acts of love often require the greatest sacrifice. This mirrors the foundation of our Catholic faith, where love is shown through service to others and putting the needs of those we care about before our own.
The Value of Hard Work and Gratitude – We were both raised to "want for nothing but work for everything" and we'll pass this on to our children. They'll learn that true fulfillment comes not from what we're given, but from what we earn through dedication, perseverance, and honest effort. We'll teach them to be grateful for their blessings while understanding that building something meaningful takes commitment.
Strength Through Adversity – We believe that challenge and adversity are as important as joy and comfort in building character and self-esteem. Life won't always be easy, but we'll teach our children that obstacles are opportunities to grow stronger, more resilient, and more compassionate. Through our faith and the example you've set, they'll learn that courage isn't the absence of difficulty but the decision to face it with grace and determination.
In Closing
We are praying for you during this incredibly difficult time.
We know this decision will be one of the most significant you will ever make, and we are deeply humbled by the courage, love, and selflessness it takes to even contemplate adoption. Through our experience with Jack's birth mother, we've learned that open adoption creates unparalleled beauty built upon mutual love and respect. Should you choose us, we promise to honor that same spirit of openness, communication, and dignity for you, not just during this process, but for years to come. We are praying for peace and clarity for you, and we look forward to hopefully meeting you soon.
