We are Nick, Natalie, and our sweet daughter Penny, and we are deeply grateful to share a glimpse into our lives with you. Our days are grounded in everyday joy, outdoor adventures, and a home full of warmth, laughter, and playful dogs. We believe in nurturing big imaginations, staying close to the people we love, and meeting each new experience with kindness and curiosity. As parents, our greatest hope is to provide a safe, loving environment where our children feel completely cherished and free to become whoever they are meant to be. About Us

We first met in Sydney, Australia, navigating visas and time zones during a two-year long-distance relationship that built the strong foundation of trust and communication we share today. After getting married in New York, we put down roots in a relaxed San Diego beach neighborhood with our two rescue dogs, creating a life full of outdoor adventures, close friendships, and annual community potlucks. You can often find us enjoying evening sunset views, spending time at the beach, or embracing quirky family traditions like silly Thanksgiving hats and holiday matching pajamas. The heart of our home is our bright and deeply joyful daughter, Penny. Uniquely herself, Penny is endlessly inquisitive, adores her friends and pups, and brings infectious energy to everything she does. Family drives almost always turn into car karaoke, with Penny happily clapping along to everything from Creedence Clearwater Revival to Calvin Harris. We cherish the sweet, everyday moments just as much as the big milestones.

Our hearts are wide open, and we are so ready to welcome another precious child into our loving, fun-filled family.

Home and Family

Our two-story home has a relaxed coastal vibe, tucked onto a quiet cul-de-sac just two miles from the local beach.

As a family, we spend most of our time outside in our backyard—splashing in the pool with our daughter, firing up the BBQ, and watching the sunset. Our dogs are an active, playful part of our daily lives, always right in the middle of backyard fetch games and outdoor fun. Our neighborhood is a true village filled with parks, trails, and caring neighbors who host summer block parties and step in as extra grandparents. Together with our daughter, we stay closely connected to extended family through regular video calls, annual trips to Australia to visit Natalie’s family, and visits back East with Nick’s. We love passing down traditions to her, from festive holiday games to cozy nights around the fire pit. Our diverse global circle brings rich cultures into our lives, and we are excited to expand our family and welcome a second child into our home.

Favorite Family Traditions

• Our annual trips to Australia, New York City, and somewhere we haven't been yet.

• Matching Christmas pajamas for the whole family all of December, matching head wear on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and Easter (including bandannas for the dogs!)

• Watching football on Sunday with our team jerseys on.

• Cheering on Hudson and Ziggy during their daily zoomies at 4:00 PM.

• Homemade pizzas once a month.

• Annual end-of-summer block party with a live band.

Our Hobbies

Natalie:

• Started surfing again this year after a long break.

• Being active! Hot Pilates and nature hikes.

• Hosting dinner parties, including Christmas in July!

• Learning when reading biographies and listening to podcasts.

Nick:

• I began learning to play the piano in the the last year.

• Love riding my motorcycle, including a cross-country trip.

• Playing tennis, golf, and weightlifting.

• I get competitive playing Jeopardy!
