Hello! We are Nereida and Chris, and we are so excited to meet you!

Before anything else, we want you to know how much we admire you and the incredible strength it takes to make such a loving decision for your child. Your courage, selflessness, and the care you are putting into choosing the best future for them inspire us deeply.

About Us

We met soon after college and quickly realized our connection was something rare and lasting. A few years later we got engaged on our first trip to Hawaii, making it a place that will always be special to us. From the beginning, we dreamed of becoming parents, and our desire to have a family has only grown stronger with time.

One of our greatest strengths is how we balance each other. Our differences help us grow, keep us grounded, and make our relationship stronger. We truly believe God brought us together, and every step since has reaffirmed that belief.

We love spending time outdoors and being active—whether hiking the trails near our home, going on bike rides, or traveling to new places.

We look forward to sharing these adventures and creating joyful memories as a family.

Home and Family

We feel incredibly blessed to call Southern California our home.

Over the years, our neighbors have become some of our closest friends, and our community is wonderfully family-friendly, with parks, playgrounds, pools, and plenty of activities nearby. One of our favorite neighborhood traditions is dressing up for Halloween, enjoying the community potluck, and of course, going trick-or-treating! We also love celebrating birthdays with homemade cinnamon rolls, balloons, and presents, and during the holidays we look forward to driving around to see Christmas lights together.

Our goldendoodle, Penny, is a big part of our family. She’s gentle, well-behaved, and loves being around children—we know she’ll be the best “big sister.” Family is at the heart of our lives, and we stay close by talking often and visiting a few times each month. We are surrounded by family and friends who are incredibly supportive of our adoption journey, and your child is already so loved by all of us.

6. Fall farm festival in Nereida's hometown.
