Nicollette and Edris
Nice To Meet you! We are Edris and Nicollette.
We may not have met in person, but please know that you are deeply in our hearts.
We recognize that the decision you're making takes extraordinary strength, love and courage. It's a choice born from selflessness- a reflection of how deeply you care about the life and future of your child. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for considering us to be a part of that journey. Should we walk this path together, please know that we will carry your love and courage with us every day. We are committed to building a future filled with care, respect, and unwavering devotion to your child's wellbeing. We promise to nurture, protect, and support this precious life with all the love we have to give. The trust you place in us is something we will carry with humility and gratitude for the rest of our lives.
About Us
When my husband and I first met, we were both just eighteen-two kids in love with big dreams, but no clear path to achieving them. Love was all that mattered, and we trusted that with time, we'd figure it out. Thankfully, we did. From meeting at eighteen, to getting engaged at nineteen at our special beach date night spot- where Edris proposed by signing a song he wrote for me-to marrying at twenty-one, our journey has been full of growth, learning and deepening love. Our marriage took us all over the country, and being together provided us both with opportunities we never would have imagined. Faith in God has been our anchor throughout, guiding us with patience, forgiveness, and hope. It reminds us that our marriage is a sacred partnership, and that by walking hand in hand with love and understanding, we can overcome anything.
Together we continue to learn and grow, grateful for the life we have built, are building and for what's yet to come.
Home and Family
Our home was built in 2000 in a quiet suburb. Edris grew up in this home with his parents and two siblings.
It is where he was home schooled until graduating early and moving on to community college. He dreamed of being able to buy the property and worked hard to save up and buy it from his parents. At the age of 26, he made that dream happen! Our home is full of family photos, religious paintings, and the character we have added to make it our own. We have made it to be a cozy, quiet, inviting place for ourselves and others to enjoy. We are very close to our own families and close to each others’. My parents are his parents, and visa versa. Nicollette’s family lives in the midwest, naturally we are not able to spend as much time with them, but when we go to visit, it's as if no time has passed between us. Both sides of our family are filled with joy. Neither of us take life too seriously, and live lightheartedly when the world seems to be at its heaviest.
Favorite Family Traditions
When we land home from traveling, from a domestic or international trip, we ALWAYS stop at In-N-Out.
Edris' parents host a Christmas Eve nacho dinner for the whole family before attending midnight Mass!
On Christmas Eve, before bed, we get to open one wrapped gift. This gift holds a new book and a pair of Christmas pajamas. (It was a major highlight for Nicollette when she was a child, and something we wish to continue for our children.)
We don't have a "traditional" Thanksgiving dinner, we make Turkey Paninis!
Our Friends Would Describe Us As:
Easygoing
Genuine
Adventurous
Dependable
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
In Closing
We want to express our deepest gratitude. Your consideration of adoption is one of profound love and selflessness, and we are humbled by the trust you may place in us to raise your child. We understand the importance of honoring your child’s story and will make every effort to share it with them as they grow, ensuring they understand the depth of love that brought them into our family. Thank you for considering us as the parents of your child. We are excited about the future and the opportunity to welcome your child into our hearts and home.
Only you can decide if we are the right family for you. We look forward to meeting you!
