Sadie and Aaron
Hello! We are Aaron, Sadie, and Gus
We believe everyone is here for a purpose. While we don’t yet know how our stories will connect, we know your choice to create an adoption plan is an act of love that will change our lives forever. Choosing adoption gives your child a future and would also allow us to grow our family and give our first adopted child a sibling. We know this journey may be difficult. Should you choose us, we promise to ensure your child always knows the love and sacrifice behind your decision. As a military family of three living in Southern California, we’ve had the gift of building lasting friendships in supportive communities across the country.
If chosen, we can’t wait to share life’s adventures with your child. Embarking on this journey with you would be our greatest adventure yet.
About Us
We grew up 1,800 miles apart—Sadie on a cotton farm in Texas and Aaron in western New York.
Luckily for Aaron, Sadie moved for graduate school, putting her just within Aaron’s search radius on the online dating website we were both using! We knew we were meant to be because of our shared love of the Catholic faith and shared dream of raising and educating children. Aaron serves as a Navy officer while Sadie is a stay-at-home mom to our son, Augustine (“Gus”), whom we adopted in 2023. As a family, we enjoy exploring the outdoors with our dirt– and stick–loving boy, traveling for dog agility trials, frequenting splash pads and playgrounds, and having playdates with friends. Parenthood has been the most fulfilling time in our lives, and we are grateful every day for the sacrifice Gus’ birthmother made in allowing us to have a front-row seat watching him grow into the most clever, amazing, fun-loving human.
Home sweet home!
We live at the end of a cul-de-sac in a family-friendly Southern California suburb nestled among rolling hills and canyons.
Our neighborhood offers plenty of outdoor exploration and is within walking distance of top-rated schools, drawing many diverse families who value education. Our home has an empty bedroom waiting to be filled and a backyard where Aaron practices agility with our dogs, Stella and Shep, while Gus splashes at his water tables and works on his baseball swing! Most days you'll find Gus honing his counting skills, Sadie experimenting with sourdough recipes, and Aaron watching documentaries about ancient cultures and animal evolution.
Stella and Shep are Shelties, dogs known for their intelligence, loyalty, and energy. They have become best buddies with Gus who loves to throw the ball for them!
Though we don’t live close to our families, we do make sure we travel to see Gus’ cousins at least once every year. Whether we are visiting Elmo and Daye’s farm in west Texas or meeting up in Disneyland, the cousin crew always has a blast when they are all together.
Things that make us happy
Being parents
Going to Disneyland
Watching Gus delight in learning, play, and life
Training our dogs
Attending sporting events together as a family
Experiencing the beauty of the Mass every Sunday
Exploring new cities and states we are stationed at with the Navy
Favorite Family Traditions
Sadie loves to make homemade decorated cakes for birthdays and other special events
We dress Gus and our dogs up in coordinating costumes for Halloween. We look forward to being creative each year
Aaron designs a Christmas light scape each year. Our grand illumination is always on December 13 for the feast day of St. Lucy, whose name means "light"
Every Friday we have a tea party (using the real China!) where Sadie reads children's books to Gus while they sip tea and enjoy a treat. Each week has a different theme
“Our family seeks beauty, truth, and goodness in all things.”
In Closing
We are honored by your consideration and would be grateful for the chance to get to know you and share your story with your child should you entrust us with that gift.
As parents, our greatest joy is sharing all that is good, true, and beautiful in life with the children who may become part of our family through the gift of adoption. We know that begins with you and the courageous choice you’ve made to bring a life into the world. Whatever you decide, we deeply admire your selflessness and wish you true peace and joy on this journey.
