Sidney and Jacob

Hi Lovely! We are Sidney and Jacob! ♡

Though we haven't yet met, we already admire, love, and respect you deeply.

We can only imagine that the decisions you're considering are the hardest a mother could make. You are incredibly strong, brave, and selfless. We will help your child to understand that the decision you're making is not for lack of love but of an abundance of love.

If we are entrusted with the honor and great responsibility of raising your child, we want you to know that they will always be loved, treasured, and accepted, no matter what. We will be a safe place for them to grow, learn, make mistakes, and become who they are meant to be. We will always honor and respect you as your child's first mother. We hope and pray that the words you'll read and the photos you'll see about our life, love, and values will bring you peace and hope for the future of your child. We sincerely hope that this is just the start of a beautiful lifelong journey together.

Our Story

We met at church during middle school and grew a deep friendship during our highschool years.

As "payment" for giving him a decent haircut, Jacob bought Sidney dinner - with flowers. We dated for about a year before Sidney moved to Australia for a year-long bible college program, during which we continued our (very) long-distance relationship. The day Sidney moved back home, Jacob proposed. We had a quick engagement, and our wedding was a few weeks before we each turned 20. As they say, when you know, you know!

Over the past eleven years together, we have lived in six cities, many homes, held several different jobs and promotions, navigated health challenges, traveled to many incredible places, and, most excitingly, grew our family when we had our daughter, Maeve in February of 2024. We have faced many challenges in our years together, but they have only brought us closer and deepened our love and respect for one another. We believe that love is a verb; we choose to love one another. Sometimes we feel love deeply and sometimes less so, but regardless of how we feel, we choose to wake up each day to love and serve one another. That's how we have had such a beautiful decade together, and that's how we will have many more.

Home sweet home!

We live in a cozy beautiful neighborhood with big mature trees, walking paths, and several parks close by.

Our neighborhood is famous in the area for going all out for Christmas, including elaborate light shows and hay bale rides. Our home is an older midcentury modern house that came with a lot of character, but needed a lot of love and "TLC". It is cozy and quirky and full of love just like us.

As a family, much of our time is spent cooking together, playing in the playroom, and reading books on the couch, snuggled up with comfy blankets and our pups. When the weather is bearable, we love to spend time outdoors with Maeve and the pups whether that be playing at the park, going for walks, swimming, or swinging in the backyard.

Sidney's parents and sisters and Jacob's parents live in Oklahoma, and Jacob's brother and sister-in-law live in Texas, about two hours from us. All of them are very active in our lives through facetime, gifts for Maeve, and family trips several times a year. Although we don't live close to immediate family, we are blessed with dear friends we consider family who also have kids the same age as our daughter, so we are all learning to parent together. We adore our two sweet pups, Finn and Pam, who are the best companions for our little girl.

Fun Facts about our Fam:

  • We went skydiving together when we turned 18

  • We flip the homes we live in and do it all ourselves (plumbing, electrical, demo, tiling, etc...)

  • Sidney can juggle... and is pretty good

  • Jacob is a real-life super hero (firefighter)

  • We used to foster puppies and had 8 dogs living with us for a time

  • Maeve is obsessed with elephants, singing, and the color blue

Things that bring us joy:

  • Our beloved puppies

  • Cozy movie nights

  • Homemaking pizzas

  • Watching our daughter experience wonder

  • A good cup of coffee

  • Traveling

  • Dance parties in the kitchen

There’s a lot of beauty in ordinary things. Isn’t that kind of the point?

In Closing

Should you choose us to love, care for, and parent your precious child, we promise to always unconditionally love and accept your child as our own, to provide them with a physically and emotionally safe space to discover who they are, to teach them about God who loves them so deeply, and we promise to always, always respect and honor you as their first mother and family.

We understand that the story of their life does not begin with us, but with you, and we will make sure they understand both the complexity and beauty of that truth.

You are beautiful; you are loved; you are valued. We hope to meet soon!
