Hi there! We are Callen & Valerie

We want to start by saying, “thank you.” Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family as you get a glimpse into our lives.

Even though we don’t know you yet, please know that we already admire you and respect you immensely. We hope that you feel loved and supported at this time.

We have prayed for a big family for years and are so grateful for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption again. We hope that our profile clearly portrays the love that we have for each other and all of the people in our lives, as well as the love that we are excited to share with another child and sibling for our son. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you consider what is best for your baby. We would be honored to be a part of his or her journey.

About Us

We first met while Callen was playing baseball in college and we hit it off quickly.

Once we both graduated, Callen moved to East Tennessee permanently, proposed in October, and we were married the following June. We knew we couldn’t wait to demonstrate what a loving marriage and home looks like for our children. After years of facing infertility, practicing financial discipline, and receiving countless prayers from loved ones, we were incredibly blessed when Graham’s birth parents chose us to become his parents. From the moment he entered our lives, we knew what a precious gift we had been given.

Having both grown up with siblings, we understand how special that bond can be. It's important to us that Graham also has the chance to grow up with a brother or sister—to share life, create memories, and build a lifelong friendship.

As a family, we love spending time outdoors, going on vacations, enjoying time with friends and extended family, and taking our Golden Retriever, Piper, on walks through the neighborhood. We are deeply grateful for the life we share together.

Home and Family

We were both born and raised in Tennessee and were blessed to able to buy our home here in 2017 in the same neighborhood that Valerie grew up in. We love how convenient the location is to work, church, friends and family, the lake, the park, etc.

Most of Valerie's side of the family lives within walking distance; but her sister, our brother-in-law, and their two girls make the 30 minute commute every Sunday for Family Night. Our nieces were so excited when Graham came along and I know they are really looking forward to having a new cousin to love.

We love living in a small, quiet neighborhood with just one way in, and one way out where we can safely walk up and down the road with our dog, Piper, and greet everyone we see. Our home is a three-bedroom rancher on a full basement / garage and is perfect for having friends and family over and hosting birthdays, holidays, and small group gatherings. Our favorite area of our home has to be our back patio. We love dining outside in the summer, as well as staying cozy and making s’mores during the fall and winter around our outdoor fireplace.

There is also plenty of space to run around and play in our backyard that happens to back up to the woods. You never know what kind of wildlife we might see or hear while we are spending time out there.

• Perfect Day: Go to Starbucks for a cake pop, then to Dick’s House of Sport to putt golf balls, then stop by the playground at church on the way home to have a movie night.
