We want to express our deepest admiration for the selfless decision you're making. As prospective adoptive parents, we don’t pretend to fully understand what you’re going through, but we want you to know that your courage and love for your child are incredibly inspiring to us. We want to assure you that if you choose us to be your child's adoptive parents, they will be cherished. We understand the weight of the trust you're placing in us, and we promise to honor it with unwavering commitment, love and support. Your child will be welcomed into our home with open arms, surrounded by love, warmth, laughter and endless opportunities. We are committed to providing them with a safe, nurturing environment where they can thrive and reach their fullest potential. 

Our Story

We’ve chased our dreams, traveled the world and come to the conclusion that for us, life’s biggest adventure is starting a family.

We met in North Carolina in 2011 while pursuing our skydiving licenses. We recognized in each other someone that made us feel at home. Someone to be weird with, to laugh with, to be our true selves with and despite all the ways our life has changed over the past 13 years that is one thing that has stayed constant. We were professional skydivers for the past 7 years competing at national and international competitions around the world before retiring to start a family. 

After several attempts to have a baby, including one miscarriage, we visited a fertility specialist to determine next steps. After a lot of thought, we felt in our hearts that we would rather parent a child in need of a family than try to force a pregnancy that wasn’t meant to be. Lauren’s cousin was adopted as well as some of our friends, so adoption was always on our minds as one of the many ways to make a family. We did a lot of research and spoke to friends and family that had experience with both sides of adoption. We wanted to know all we could to ensure we would be a good fit to parent an adopted child and the more we learned the more excited we became about growing our family through adoption.

Home and Family

We own a home that we love, surrounded by trees and wildlife and plenty of room to grow our family.

We love having our morning coffee and dinners with friends on the porch where we feel surrounded by nature. Our house is in a friendly and diverse neighborhood right next to a park with a jungle gym, baseball field, basketball and tennis courts and most importantly a giant sledding hill! One of the great things about living in Wisconsin is enjoying all four seasons. During the summer, we spend our time at the beaches along Lake Michigan. In the fall, we pick apples at the local orchard. During the winter we love spending time in the snow, then cozying up by the fireplace. We also enjoy quiet days at home reading in our giant bean bags or building LEGO sets.

We are both so grateful that we have the ability to travel and make it a priority to visit family.

We have so many happy memories growing up with our cousins and we want that for our future kids too! Every year we plan family trips where we can enjoy quality time together and everyone is excited to welcome another cousin into the family. In the summer Elliot’s family gets together on an island in Maine. We spend our days sailing, going for picnics and cooking big family dinners together. Lauren’s mother grew up on a dairy farm in North Dakota with 6 siblings. Every year, the siblings, cousins, and their families gather at the family farm for potlucks, fireworks and yard games.
